Advocate on behalf of clients by thoroughly understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, and developing strategic action plans.Represent clients in court proceedings as required.Regularly audit your active matters and provide clients with a monthly case update (summarizing the status of their case, recent accomplishments, and forthcoming steps) to keep them informed and maintain good communication.Collaborate closely with the Mentoring Attorney to brainstorm case strategies and best options for our clients.Review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders.Lead your legal pod, including paralegals and legal assistants, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Engage actively in legal team meetings and one-on-one meetings with the Mentoring Attorney to promote both individual and team growth.Conduct consultations with prospective clients.Promote Truce Law by actively developing and maintaining relationships with law firms and community stakeholders in the Pacific Northwest.Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts.Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels.Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses.Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a family law attorney.Demonstrated experience in trial, mediation, and arbitration representation.Active Washington State Bar LicenseIn-depth knowledge of Washington State family law.Lives in the state of Washington is a requirementFive years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry.Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision.Four-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school.Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration.Member of state and local bar associations in good standing.Compensation
