About the Role
As Director of Solutions at Ramp, you will lead a team of post-sales Technical Consultants, playing a pivotal role in driving the onboarding, activation, and ongoing success of our customer partnerships. You will oversee a team of highly skilled Technical Consultants who possess deep expertise in our products, industry standards, accounting practices, and ERP systems. You'll own the development and execution of strategies that build trust and confidence with customers, guiding your team to unlock key technical activation milestones and guiding complex integration workflows. Working closely with Ramp's Customer Success and Account Management leaders, you will develop implementation, upsell, and renewal strategies that lead to full-use of the platform for Ramp's key customers, ensuring alignment with their evolving requirements. As a go-to-market executive, you'll act as a technical and financial thought leader, design integrated solutions, provide strategic advice to customers, and facilitate communication between internal technical teams and customers. You will influence product development to continually enhance Ramp's value proposition and drive customer success from deal close through the broader customer lifecycle. Your role will involve mentoring and developing your team, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to excel in their roles.
What You'll DoLead and mentor a team of Technical Consultants, guiding their professional development, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring alignment with Ramp's strategic goalsPartner with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Partners to advocate for integration development that aligns with customer needsCollaborate with Ramp Customer Success and Account Management leaders to ensure customers effectively utilize our product and achieve their goalsSupport Sales and Post-Sales teams in executing advanced technical and accounting implementations for RampDevelop and implement strategies to improve customer engagement, increase renewal rates, and identify opportunities for upsellingWork alongside Product, Product Marketing, and Product Operations to create and maintain technical assets and an internal knowledge base of customer use cases and best practicesProvide strategic input to the product development process, ensuring that customer feedback and market trends are incorporatedWhat You Need
8+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer-facing roles5+ years in a leadership role, managing technical teams in a SaaS or financial technology environmentBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, finance, accounting, or a related fieldProficiency in IdP, HRIS, and/or ERP solutionsExpertise in accounting systems, controllership needs, and finance/accounting workflows preferredExceptional communication, organizational, and project management abilitiesStrong skills in engineering, system design, and technical specification writingA proactive mindset, adaptability, and comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environmentProven ability to lead and inspire a team, driving results and fostering a collaborative cultureBenefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)
