There will be 8- 10 beds dedicated for this. Ratio will range from 1:4 to 1:5Personality fit for includes the ability to care for chronic trach/vend dependent patients, neuro-surgical patients, noncomplicated back surgeries, VP shunts, and stable subdural hematoma patients. Other patient populations include post-drips, GI bleed, ETOH withdrawal, suicidal and behavioral/substance abuse patients. Renal dialysis patients, emergent situations requiring assisting with intubations of unstable patients (which will move to a higher level of care.
