Database Administrator IV .
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will report up through the Engineering Management team and perform database design, update, integration and testing to satisfy project requirements. Additionally, this position will be assigned other projects or tasks in alignment with the level and scope of the position. This position will work remotely as an extension to our Orlando, FL software development team.
As a
Database Administrator IV , responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
Work together in a small team of software professionals within an Agile development environment to accomplish team milestones while collaborating with other teams to achieve project strategic goals; With everyone working in concert to create the best product possible.Be part of shaping the design, processes, and tools used for the project knowing we value entrepreneurship and 'out of the box' thinking.Be comfortable being yourself and expressing your personality and personal qualities to influence our tight-knit software development teams.Participate in brainstorming, consensus building and other team activities to identify actions that improve our products and processes.Implement and monitor database architectures and provide system documentation.Support backups and restores of the database.Provide database monitoring and performance tuning.Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, table DDL, constraints and views.Perform Problem Ticket activity through the complete life cycle from planning to test.All forms of data manipulation, migrating data into and out of the database.Work in an Agile Development Environment using the Atlassian tool set.Participate in government and industry teams in the resolution of data issues.Establish and support data management tools, plans and processes.Work closely with other engineering teams in support of the software development and deployment.Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of the Program activities may be required. (

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field required.Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in the software development industry or simulation experience.Experience using Microsoft Office Products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience with PostgreSQLKnowledge of database queries, theory and design.Experience configuring and designing database modelsExperience supporting backups, restores, and disaster recovery of the system.Experience resolving issues related to database accessibility and performanceExperience working in an Agile development environmentAble to perform database queries and perform routine maintenance, recovery and handling failoversExperience using configuration management toolsHighly proficient written and oral communication skillsHolds a current minimum DOD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle databasesDBA certificationDOD Top Secret Clearance
