Assistant Architectural Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will manage the product development (including outside professional services vendors) and design for the Northern divisions of the Company. Periodic travel is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee updating and maintaining the current plan sets
  • Oversee the development of new plan sets
  • Direct & coordinate architectural and engineering outsources
  • Organize architectural offerings throughout multiple divisions
  • Track new plans and updates through the internal architectural/engineering process
  • Facilitate lot specific plan process with divisional offices & outside professionals
  • Provide lot specific RESchecks as required by division
  • Manage marketing collateral for plans across multiple divisions
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Knowledge of residential construction and operations
  • Ability to create, manipulate, and read CAD drawings, architectural blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • NEWSTAR/BuildPro experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office software applications is required
  • Detail oriented with organized and analytical thought processes

Education and Work Experience

  • College Degree (Architectural / Structural Engineering Major) with a strong emphasis on residential architectural drawing and / or 4-6 years of equivalent education and experience in wood framed residential construction.
  • Must have valid driver’s license for business travel.
