Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Business Analyst who works directly with the HR & IT teams. This role is expected to have high interaction and dialogue with HR team members and leadership and thus requires excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. The primary duty would be to lead process workshops between HR departments across regions, be the thought leader to initiate and guide discussions on improvement and alignment of internal processes, diagram and document decisions, author business requirements and translate into system requirements, and work with IT and an implementation partner on the functional design changes needed. Business acumen in the field of HR and working experience with an HR system is required. Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central would greatly benefit your success in this role, however, if you have no previous experience, you will be expected to learn very quickly and eventually become a subject matter expert. Specialized Skills

  • Advanced interpersonal skills required to interact with staff, colleagues, management, and internal/external customers
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Understand the major functions in a global organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of core Human Resources functions is required
  • Previous implementation experience with an HR system is preferred
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an ERP system is a plus
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors: Employee Central is a plus
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is preferred
  • Experience in applying PDCA, SIPOC, Process Flow, Root Cause Analysis, Design Thinking, As Is – Future State, and/or lean methodologies during kaizen, problem-solving, design thinking, and/or rapid improvement process events to support continuous improvements projects is preferred.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 + years of relevant work experience required
  • Human Resources generalist experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and manual and automated test cases.
  • Support user acceptance testing and user training activities
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, train, and deploy solutions. Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define/execute manual and automated test cases.
  • Document current processes and models to understand potential improvement.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Perform project management duties for releases and projects.
  • Adhere to the Quality System and Change Control Procedures

  • Follow established methodology for the identification and documentation of business requirements or use cases with acceptance criteria
  • Expected to gain and demonstrate knowledge of assigned Arthrex software application(s).
  • Benchmark current and future processes against industry best practices.
  • Lead process improvements and IT projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration with business for documentation of As-Is and To-Be Processes.
  • Proactively propose improvements to business.
  • Manage projects with cross functional teams and of global scope.
