Responsibilities

•Safely drive a heavy-duty truck in Huntington, TX, US, to pick up garbage from residential homes following Live Oak Environmental Company, LLC Safety Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.•Perform pre-and post-trip inspections on assigned equipment and record checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).•Notify the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch immediately about any safety concerns or service-related issues.•Participate actively in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental, LLC.•Work with Route Supervisors/Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.•Inform the Route Supervisor/Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur.•Report any service interruptions like blocked containers, closed lots, streets, or potential safety hazards to the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.•Quickly communicate customer requests to Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch.•Identify and report any damaged or in-need-of-repair containers.•Complete and submit necessary customer tickets.•Follow route assignments diligently, and complete end-of-day documentation, and the check-out process as instructed.•Assist other drivers as directed by the Route Supervisor/Manager or Dispatch to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

•Education is not mandatory for this position.•The candidate should have at least two (2) years of experience operating a vehicle that requires a CDL.•Holding a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement is necessary.•The applicant must be a minimum of 18 years old.•A clean driving record is a prerequisite.•The candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United States.•Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and DOT physical is required.•The job entails working a 10-hour shift during the day with overtime and potential weekend shifts.•The position offers year-round work opportunities.
