Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,434 per week

Certification Details Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS NIHSS is preferred Job Details Registered Nurse for Neuro ICU at Aspirus Wausau Hospital The position is for Neuro ICU RN with involvement in Med/Surg ICU and Neuro ICU with a focus on strong assessment skills in Neuro Experience with line placement, intubation, and basic bedside ICU procedures is expected Experience in Neuro assessments and Neuro-specific procedures, including bolt and drain bedside placements Candidates should be hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, and able to manage independently while completing tasks in a timely manner Job Requirements Minimum Experience: 2 years with at least 1 travel assignment preferred Specific background in Med/Surg ICU or Neuro ICU is required EPIC charting experience required Experience as Neuro Interventionalist is a plus Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring is necessary Schedule Information Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 1/6 Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 Shift Requirements: 12 hr Nights Float Requirements: Will float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units, with possible float to other critical care units No on-call or call-back requirements specified Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend, every other holiday Unit Specific Information Unit Information: An 8 bed Neuro unit with Neuro population from Med/Surg ICU, including conditions such as Stroke, TBI, Head injury, and Neurosurgery patients Experience with Neuro Interventional patients in future state is considered an advantage Familiarity with procedures like bolt and drain bedside placements is needed Additional Details Primary case/Procedure Type: Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures Workers should manage change well and be able to work in a social environment Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed GSA hours not guaranteed the week of Orientation
