JOB SUMMARY:
The Network Support Specialist will ensure the stable operation of the enterprise computer network and implement and/or facilitate the initiatives of Chief Information Officer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software and communication linksRecommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairsDevelop, implement, and maintain the policies and procedures for network resource administration and disaster recoveryManage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systemsInteract and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and servicesImplement other job duties as directedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field; equivalent training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to present ideas in user-friendly languageProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICCATIONS
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer ScienceNetwork +Certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)Cisco Networking experience.Higher Education Experience
