We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage our financial operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial planning, budgeting, and auditing processes. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is ready to take on new challenges in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
  • Ensure company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
  • Supervise the preparation of the corporate annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
  • Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
  • Engage in benchmarking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
  • Experience in government accounting regulations, budgeting, tax preparation, auditing, and bank reconciliations is required.
