Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller for our rapidly growing construction company. This is a wonderful opportunity for a skilled financial professional to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the company, providing strategic financial insights, and ensuring financial compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Job Cost Accounting, General Ledger, and Payroll.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, prepare detailed budgets, and provide forecasts to assist in business decision-making and strategy development.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Work closely with project managers and senior executives to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. CPA or MBA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Proven experience in managing month-end close processes.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Knowledge of construction accounting and project management software is a plus.
