Teach Coalition, a program of the Orthodox Union, is dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to a quality Jewish education. Operating across seven states in the U.S., Teach Coalition advocates for equitable government funding and resources for yeshivas and Jewish day schools, making Jewish education accessible to all families.Job Description:The Director will be responsible for cultivating relationships and increasing the financial commitments of existing Teach supporters in the $1,800 – $25,000 donor range, as well as inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. A successful Director has a proven track record in sales, client relations, fundraising, or a similar field.The Director is also responsible for growing a strong grassroots movement focused on advocacy and voting. As part of a growing community engagement team, the Director will be supported by the state and national office. This is a Hybrid position and reports to the Southern Director. The office is in Hollywood, FL.Essential Functions:Create and execute a plan aimed at increasing community engagement and growing Teach’s revenue through solicitations, donor cultivation and stewardshipBuild and sustain strong relationships with donors and inspire them to increase their investment in our workIdentify, cultivate, and solicit new donorsMeet quarterly and annual fundraising goalsIdentify, recruit and develop lay leadership for leadership rolesProvide regular updates that inspire people to become more involved in Teach’s policy and advocacy workMaintain accurate and up-to-date moves management records in the CRM system, including logging communications and meetings.Engage community members in action alerts, voting, events and other advocacy activitiesRepresent Teach at community events and forumsQualifications:A minimum of 5 years of work experience in sales/fundraising or a related field with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding goalsAbility to pivot quickly to address rapidly changing situationsHighly motivated self-starter who can initiate and maintain contacts, relationships, projects, meetings and eventsA problem solver, able to visualize and articulate solutions using an analytical mindsetAbility to prioritize, work independently and complete multiple assignments with attention to detail in fast paced, rapidly changing environmentTies to the Miami Dade Jewish community and schoolsStrong commitment to Jewish education and advocacyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate experienceSalary and Benefits:The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience.We offer employee-sponsored healthcare, dental and vision plans. Other benefits include:Paid parental leavePaid Jewish and most Federal holidaysShort Fridays to accommodate for the SabbathFree life and disability insurance403(b) retirement plan which the OU will contribute 5% of your wage towards retirement savings after you contribute at least 2% (match eligible after 3 years of continuous service)
