Position Overview

The People Partner will partner with divisional leadership and our People & Culture team to make a positive impact on the Adaptive employee experience by designing innovative people programs, cultivating management and leadership skills, and delivering an array of talent initiatives aligned to business strategy. This role will be both hands on and strategic providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. The individual in this role must first understand the business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. The HRBP will assess capability and needs in the areas of leadership & management development, career development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and talent acquisition, and drive appropriate solutions in these areas.

This role will also partner with divisional leadership to conceptualize, design and lead business-specific people programs to meet the specific needs of client teams.

More specifically, this role will implement and evolve HR strategies to support the agendas of the business in areas such as performance management, org effectiveness, talent development and organization design. This roles interfaces with a variety of management levels and employees and demonstrates excellent communication skills, strategic thinking and planning, strong business acumen, and the ability to function in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization in areas of talent management, organizational design, change management, and employee relations.

Build strong, trusted relationships and operate as a trusted advisor by using professional credibility and strong relationships with leaders to influence key priorities.

Partner with leaders and People & Culture team to translate key business strategies into relevant, value-added, and timely talent programs such as performance management and calibration, engagement, retention, learning and leadership and employee relations.

Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans, programs, and solutions to achieve overall strategic business initiatives and deliver results.

Proactively partner with Talent Acquisition throughout the recruiting and hiring process.

Provide expert guidance in people and organizational issues, provide management coaching to build leadership capability and proactively address employee issues, work with managers and employees to address complex issues from end-to-end.

In partnership with Talent Development, assess management development needs and design and facilitate learning programs.

Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the CoEs to develop organizational and people strategy to improve the performance and effectiveness of their business groups.

Enrich Adaptive’s awesome culture with meaningful engagement across teams and management.

Develop expert knowledge of Life Sciences and Adaptive’s business.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline

7+ years progressive HR experience in HRBP capacity with Bachelor’s or 3+ years with Masters

Prior experience working in Life Sciences or Technology industries and commercial experience is strongly preferred

Proven experience driving organizational change initiatives and change management models to help shift the culture and improve the overall effectiveness of the business.

Proven experience in influencing and partnering with different levels of leaders to drive and achieve results

Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to learn and understand our business and how thoughtful talent management impacts the business

Demonstrated HR expertise with experience in organizational design, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, change management, learning and development, manager coaching, and employee relations

Experience developing processes and working in a rapid-paced environment

Strong problem solving, organizational, and project management skills

Demonstrated strong critical thinking and initiative by proactively identifying issues and providing solution that align with business objectives

Experience leading organization-wide initiatives in a fast growth environment

Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

Compensation

Salary Range: $113,500 - $170,300

Other compensation elements include:
