As a Walmart Senior Software Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, developing, and implementing digital solutions that solve mission critical business problems in supporting Walmart associates/employees.About Team:The Associate Listening Team’s aim is to collect feedback, ideas, and concerns from Walmart’s Associates to ensure a great employee experience across many channels, including the Walmart Me@ apps and web channels. The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.What you'll do:Collaborate with cross functional teams including business, product and other software engineers to understand the business problem, review business requirements, draft technical requirements, scope, design, develop, test, and deploy services and systems.Collaborate with your team to perform design and code reviews, provide constructive feedback, improve operational excellence to ensure high quality, high availability, scalable and performant systems.Create and enhance medium sized applications, services, or significant set of components within a large application.Willing to learn and contribute in any layer of the stack, from front-end development to back-end services and data.What you'll bring:At least 4+ years of relevant industry experience in building highly available systems.Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from inception to deployment of project in production.Effective problem solving skills, ability to make design trade offs, balancing the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.Working knowledge of service oriented architecture.Experience with Relational and/or NoSQL Database.Experience with CI/CD and operational excellence best practices.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Mentoring/coaching junior engineers.The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role.
