We are seeking a Managing Director to focus on driving growth through companies preparing for IPO and those navigating other significant transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and private placements. This senior-level role is crucial for establishing high-impact client relationships, particularly with companies undergoing transformative corporate events, and generating substantial revenue from large-scale engagements.Responsibilities:Identify and engage with life science companies preparing for IPOs, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.Build and maintain a strong pipeline of IPO and transaction-related opportunities, leveraging your deep industry network.Build and nurture relationships with C-suite executives, investors, and board members to understand their needs and position Danforth as the preferred partner for their financial, operational, and strategic consulting requirements.Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present customized solutions, including finance and accounting, clinical development, and commercial readiness services, to support clients through key transactions.Lead contract negotiations for large-scale engagements that provide critical support during IPOs, M&A, and other corporate transactions.Represent Danforth at industry events, roadshows, and conferences to enhance visibility and thought leadership in IPO and transaction consulting.Qualifications:12+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on corporate transactions, IPOs, or mergers and acquisitions within the life sciences sector.Extensive network and deep relationships with key players in biotech, pharmaceutical, and investment banking.Proven ability to secure and manage high-value accounts during complex corporate transitions.Strong negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets.Benefits:Medical: (plan options: HMO*, PPO and High Deductible Plan with a Health Savings Account) * HMO plan only available to those in New England geographyDentalVisionFlexible time offCompany Paid HolidaysShort Term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (healthcare and dependent care options)401K planVoluntary life insurance (employee, spouse, child)
