Overview:The Assistant Director of Events reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. The position will be responsible for enhancing the experiences of our guests, employees, and stakeholders. This dynamic leader will be responsible for developing, executing, and the continuous evaluation of aspects of the arena for all assigned arena events. This individual will create and enforce a vibrant customer-focused culture among all key-stakeholders, CFG Bank Arena managers and employees. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working as part of a team. The goal is to ensure we become and remain the industry standard for excellence and ensure that all our guests and staff have exceptional experiences.
This role will pay a salary of $90,000 to $95,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities:Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, implementation, direction and management of all functions and resources within the Event Services department while creating and enforcing a customer-focused culture at the CFG Bank Arena.
Advance events with clients/tenants to ensure all aspects of event are planned and covered which includes, but not limited to, staff schedules, IATSE calls load-in/load-out times, catering coordination, operational requirements, show rentals, EMS/Police/Fire coverage and technical requirements for approximately 120 events annually.
Conduct staff, planning, and operational meetings to ensure smooth coordination of services to events.
Prepare and review all event related expense estimates (labor, rentals, permits, etc.) and work with the Director of Finance to ensure all costs are accurate and provided in a timely manner to promoters.
Inspect and complete checklists for all event spaces prior to events loading-in and post load-out.
Assist with preparing and updating CAD drawings for events.
Works closely with Director of Security and Director of Guest Services to help create and oversee best Guest Service policies and practices for CFG Bank Arena.
Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure all facility needs are communicated and setups are completed correctly by deadlines.
Coordinate and schedule all necessary permits for event related needs.
Assist in creating reporting procedures to help review and analyze feedback, identify trends, and data analytics for process improvements for both promoter experience and operational improvements.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with clients, partners, and all Stakeholders. Work proactively in these relationships.
Resolves any complaints or concerns.
Responsible for the policies, systems and processes that provide a strong foundation and support the company culture.
Submits maintenance request orders for repairs and damages.
Understands and implements the CFG Bank Arena’s standard operating procedures as they relate to safety, evacuation procedures, crisis communication and security.
Ensure compliance with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) during events.
Work extended and/or irregular hours at CFG Bank Arena events including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility (requires personal mobility), lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and moderate to loud noises.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Qualifications
5-7+ years’ experience in event planning and/or event execution experience in a large-scale sports/live entertainment facility.
Bachelor's Degree in Sport/Event Management, Hospitality, Training & Education, HR, or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field.
Experience placing stagehand, audio & visual, show runners, police, t-shirt, and medical, staffing calls for large, scaled events and sporting events.
Experience in dealing with third party venders for event rentals and event equipment.
This individual is a natural integrator and solution oriented who has experience driving and motivating results with large staffing departments.
Passion for providing the highest quality service and puts promoters and guests needs before their own needs first.
Must be a creative problem solver who can identify solutions and address guest concerns efficiently and professionally while remaining calm under pressure.
Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to create and manage a collaborative and diverse workforce.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.

Desired Qualifications
Event Services experience with large-scale events in an arena, concert, or multi-use facility setting of a similar size (14,000 seats) is highly desirable.
Experience servicing various stakeholders and demographics.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize needs efficiently.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
