Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Analyzing, understanding, and improving Salesforce.com's performance from server generation to browser rendering; Using industry standard tools for measuring and visualizing the different components of site performance, across millions of users; Working closely with developers to understand our architecture; Gathering requirements from management and product owners; Ensuring visibility necessary to identify potential areas of performance improvement; and Triaging problems when they occur in one of our global production data centers.The permanent position may be offered at any of the following locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.A related technical degree is required (Computer Science, Engineering).Special Skill Requirements:
(1) Java Development; (2) SQL Database Tuning; (3) Shell Scripting; (4) JUnit; (5) Distributed Operating Systems; (6) Performance Benchmarking on Mobile Applications. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Experience with special skills can be gained through academic coursework or professional experience.Salary:
