Senior Manager Software EngineeringLocation:
San Francisco, CAJob Duties:Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.Analyze, understand, and improve Salesforce.com's performance from server generation to browser rendering.Use industry standard tools for measuring and visualizing the different components of site performance, across millions of users.Work closely with developers to understand our architecture.Gather requirements from management and product owners.Ensure visibility necessary to identify potential areas of performance improvement.Triaging problems when they occur in one of our global production data centers.Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering).Special Skill Requirements:Java DevelopmentSQL Database TuningShell ScriptingJUnitDistributed Operating SystemsPerformance Benchmarking on Mobile ApplicationsAny suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Experience with special skills can be gained through academic coursework or professional experience.Salary:
