Business Development Director
on our Health Solution team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.As a Business Development Director, you will partner with the Director, PPD Sales & Account Management to support and contribute to the growth, vitality, and prominence of the American Medical Association (AMA) by developing relationships/partnerships with key industry stakeholders that will expand the value, reach, and long-term growth of VericCre sales and the AMA with potential clients/users/stakeholders. Based on market trends, activity, and analysis, develop and test different strategies to expand and develop critical executive relationships to optimize VeriCre’s success. Develop plans to integrate VeriCre into CCP to complement and enhance other CCP products in the vertical. Manage and develop relationships with key decision makers in assigned accounts. Collaborate closely with operations, legal, finance, marketing, product development, and product management teams.RESPONSIBILITIES:Relationship Development & ManagementBased on market trends, activity, and feedback, analyze, recommend, and implement various strategies to expand VeriCre’s market penetration and data comprehensiveness resulting in additional pipeline growth and data expansion to support the long-term viability.Independently develop and maintain an integrated “One AMA” Account Plan for each current and potential partner that provides the blueprint and value map for engagement.Identify customer strategies and initiatives, key customer contacts, engagement plans, and provide an overall roadmap to bring value to AMA and our customers.Develop and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations to internal and external senior management.Build relationships with external collaborators to advance VeriCre’s adoption, brand recognition, and leadership position in the market; resulting in elevated recognition by physicians for reducing administrative burden and accelerating the burdensome credentialing process.Revenue ManagementIdentify and develop new revenue opportunities and channel partner strategies to support the management of existing revenue.Accurately forecast HS revenue to senior management.Document opportunities in Salesforce in a timely manner.Negotiate contracts with industry stakeholders and potential product users; ensuring that they are completed in a timely, consistent, and transparent manner that drives revenue while concurrently protecting the AMA brand and integrity.Negotiate and oversee contracts that protect the AMA brand and tax status and ensure compliance with the AMA terms of use.Voice of the CustomerRepresent the Voice of the Customer to the AMA, serving as a central point of contact for assigned customers and promote “One AMA” initiatives to assigned customers.Bring the Voice of the Market product management to provide the product and market information necessary to deliver best-in-class solutions to address market needs and trends.May include other responsibilities as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in health-related field or business required.Minimum 10+ years of business development experience in healthcare services.Management experience in healthcare services, content, and/or technology.Experience with credentialing and/or physician data and tools is desired.Experience in developing and expanding relationships with industry partners.Demonstrated knowledge and successful utilization of professional sales processes such as strategic selling or consultative sales practices with large client groups.Experience managing complex, strategic accounts and interacting with the C-suite of healthcare organizations.Demonstrated expertise in building business cases using fact-based market research, evaluating threats to AMA’s reputation, and cost/benefit analysis with a go/no go recommendation.Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, critical thinking skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to senior executives.Self-motivated, analytical, highly organized, and detail-oriented.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.Proficient in MS Office products and SalesForce.Able to work a flexible schedule with occasional travel.The American Medical Association is located at 330 N.
