This will give Altera the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.About the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced Processor Solution Architect to lead the design and architecture of embedded processor subsystems for Intel FPGA solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and negotiating specifications, modeling systems, defining embedded solution spaces, and collaborating with teams across the organization. The role requires a deep understanding and hands-on experience with processors, peripherals, software stacks, and performance optimization techniques.Key Responsibilities:Architectural Design:

Lead the design and architecture of embedded processor subsystems and Intel FPGA solutions. Develop and negotiate detailed specifications, ensuring they meet customer and business requirements. Support ecosystem enabling and customers during architecture definition.System Modeling:

Model systems to identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimizing configurations and software flows.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with processor core, peripherals, and software/firmware teams to ensure integrated and high-performance embedded systems.Customer Focus:

Partner with product planning and business unit architects to define and address customer use cases for FPGA products. Understand and navigate the complexities of global market needs.Performance Optimization:

Drive the modeling requirements and performance enhancements for embedded systems, resolving any performance issues that arise.Work with product planning to define the technology (hardware and software) roadmap for the processor and embedded subsystems.Align organizational goals with technical vision, formulate technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrate a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.12+ years in hardware design or architecture.10+ years in designing, architecting, and verifying processor subsystems.5+ years working with product planning, business units, and customers.Preferred Qualifications:Processor Expertise: Demonstrated experience with ARM-based processors.Embedded Use Cases: Proven experience with embedded customer use cases and application requirements.Software Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience with embedded software development and familiarity with relevant tool ecosystems.FPGA experience preferred.Job Type:

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $186,760.00-$299,166.00. Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.Work Model for this Role:This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances, the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
