Guaranteed Hours: contracted hours (36/48/40) / week, facility is allowed to call off 3x throughout a 13-week assignment.

Special Requirements: The Adult Admission Inpatient Unit is a fast-paced unit that functions as an admission unit next door to the Emergency Department. The AAU is like an Emergency Department holding unit. The AAU takes admitted patients from the Emergency Department and begins the inpatient standard of care until patients can be placed on one of the 11 progressive care units at UNMH. This unit requires the ability to handle frequent turn and burn of patients (both transferring out and admitting). Ratios are 1 RN to 4-5 patients. 17 beds and up to 8 hall beds. It is required RNs can monitor and interpret telemetry, manage a variety of medical equipment, and time manage well.
