We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant for our Multifamily Property Accounting division. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a unique opportunity to work with one of the leading companies in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in property accounting, with a focus on multifamily and apartment properties. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting for our diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of multifamily and apartment properties, including accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger (GL), and year-end close processes.
  2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
  3. Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  4. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  5. Developing and implementing effective accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Providing strategic financial guidance to management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  7. Addressing and resolving complex accounting issues and queries in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant position will have:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on multifamily and apartment properties.
  3. Proficiency in accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger (GL), and year-end close processes.
  4. Strong knowledge of property accounting standards and regulations.
  5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
