Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, cost accounting, and financial statements. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Direct and oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  2. Manage general ledger activities including reconciliations, adjustments, and monthly close processes.
  3. Implement and maintain effective and efficient financial systems and procedures.
  4. Conduct cost accounting activities, including the allocation of costs, preparation of cost reports, and analysis of cost variances.
  5. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall business performance.
  7. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  8. Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  9. Perform financial audits, preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations for improving our internal control processes.
  10. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s Degree or CPA is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the Engineering industry.
  3. Proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, cost accounting, and preparation of financial statements.
  4. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  6. Proficient in using advanced financial software and MS Office Suite.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  9. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
