Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, cost accounting, and financial statements. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Manage general ledger activities including reconciliations, adjustments, and monthly close processes.
- Implement and maintain effective and efficient financial systems and procedures.
- Conduct cost accounting activities, including the allocation of costs, preparation of cost reports, and analysis of cost variances.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall business performance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Perform financial audits, preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations for improving our internal control processes.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s Degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the Engineering industry.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, general ledger, financial accounting, cost accounting, and preparation of financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using advanced financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
