Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $2,498 per week

Certification Details Prefer CNRN or SCRN certification. Job Details A hospital near Sacramento is looking for an experienced Neuro MedSurg/Tele for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience. Job Requirements Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and a CA License. Schedule Information 12 hr shifts. Shift starts at 6:45. Report is at the bedside. Overtime and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and trade with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available. Unit Specific Information Unit: MST Neuroscience Unit (5T) Number of beds: 30 Ratios: 1 to 4-5 EMR: Cerner Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holidays: Rotate in with core staff Scrub Color: Navy - undershirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy. Tele: No, but must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. Vents: No Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes IV Team: No RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. Could also float to tele and Med-Surg floors. Floor-specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with a preceptor. Additional Details ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Med Sol prescreens/auto offers & manager has 24 hours to review and rescind, if necessary. For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling. Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.
