A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU nurse for a travel contract.The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and CA License.Job Requirements
3 full years of experience as an ICU nurse.Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.Valid and active CA License.CERNER experience is mandatory.No first time travelers are allowed.Candidates must not apply in pairs (no duos).Schedule Information
Contract length is 13 weeks.Shifts/Hours: 12-hour shifts; 7a - 7:30p/7p - 7:30a.Weekends: Every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.Unit Specific Information
Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 2.Patient types include respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, ARDS, GI bleed, and more.Orientation includes 2 shifts on the unit, as well as other towers for floating purposes.Charge Nurse and Free Resource Nurse details.Additional Details
Unit: ICU and ICU-CV RecoveryBasic EKG interpretation test assigned during orientation.No Nurse Aides are present.Tele: Spacelabs Monitoring - nurses are responsible for all of their own tele strips, reading, etc.
