Certification Details AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certification AHA ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification AHA PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification AHA NIHSS Certificate TNCC Certificate Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania Full Hep B series (3 doses) or positive Hep B antibody documentation required Job Details The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Job Requirements Graduate of accredited Nursing program. 1 year Acute Care Experience and/or experience congruent with role in service line. Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice. Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care. Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty. Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies. Basic computer skills.
