Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate case files.
- Conduct state filing online federal filing using ECF/Pacer.
- Utilize compulaw docketing for case management and scheduling.
- Monitor and adhere to strict deadlines, maintaining a detailed calendar for attorneys.
- Coordinate billing procedures and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Prepare and update case status reports for both clients and attorneys.
- Prepare folders and necessary documents for paralegals and attorneys.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring all correspondence is dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct legal research to support case development and strategy.
- Provide litigation support, including document review and preparation of legal correspondence.
- Manage complex civil litigation and appeals litigation cases.
- Act as a heavy scheduler, managing appointments, court dates, and other important events.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a legal environment.
- Proficiency in legal case management and legal assistance.
- Experience with legal software, specifically compulaw docketing and ECF/Pacer.
- Demonstrated expertise in litigation support, document review, and preparation of legal correspondence.
- Proven experience handling complex civil litigation and appeals litigation.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage heavy scheduling and multiple deadlines.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
- A high level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and work independently.
- A professional demeanor, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members.
