Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake to resolution, including trial when necessary.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Represent clients at court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing outstanding customer service and keeping them informed about the progress of their cases.
- Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case files.
- Stay current on legal trends and developments in the field of personal injury law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury attorney.
- Proven trial experience, with a strong record of positive outcomes for clients.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable settlements for clients.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Experience with case management software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage a large caseload without sacrificing quality.
- Experience with depositions, mediation, and arbitration.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve cases effectively and efficiently.
