Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.

Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis to senior management.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including gaming regulations and tax compliance.

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to promote a high-performance culture.

Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Provide strategic insights to support business decisions and long-term planning.

Collaboration with Operations:

Partner with operational teams to understand business performance and provide financial insights.

Support decision-making related to capital investments, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in the gaming and hospitality industries is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
