Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  1. Administering various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
  2. Conducting employee meetings and arranging for enrollment of employees in optional plans.
  3. Conducting new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  4. Resolving employee complaints related to health and welfare plans, referring difficult or very complex complaints to manager as needed.
  5. Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
  6. Providing administrative support for the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and assisting with onboarding new hires.
  7. Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
  8. Coordinating daily benefits processing, handling enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
  9. Overseeing maintenance of employee benefits files, maintaining group benefits database and updating employee payroll records.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
  2. Proven experience in recruitment and HR practices.
  3. Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations.
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  5. The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and HRIS systems.
  8. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
