Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Permanent Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Administering various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Conducting employee meetings and arranging for enrollment of employees in optional plans.
- Conducting new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
- Resolving employee complaints related to health and welfare plans, referring difficult or very complex complaints to manager as needed.
- Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
- Providing administrative support for the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and assisting with onboarding new hires.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Coordinating daily benefits processing, handling enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
- Overseeing maintenance of employee benefits files, maintaining group benefits database and updating employee payroll records.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
- Proven experience in recruitment and HR practices.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to effectively handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and HRIS systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
