Docusign is looking for Principal Engineers to join our development team in Seattle. This position will be part of a team working on Docusign's Platform that's responsible for high scale and low latency service. The service will deliver a No-Code Business Process Automation framework that allows administrators or delegates to build agreement management workflows without having to have any coding experience. This position will demand critical thinking skills, ability to quickly understand existing systems and the ability to work in agile environments. The ability to take smart and educated risks is essential to the success of this position. Think about how to solve problems in scale and build fault tolerant systemsDevelop high-quality, ship-ready code that is covered by a full test suiteDesign and develop a web-scale service that follows microservice principles and is deployed using containerized cloud technologies to allow customer administrators the ability to construct simple business processes without having to have coding expertiseWork with Product Management and other developers to understand and translate marketing requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for developmentWork as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing and release of productsWhat you bring

Basic15+ years development experienceBachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent.Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentalsExperience working with C#, Go, Java or other modern programming languagesPreferredExperience building Cloud Native Services using REST APIs, Microservices based architectures, and containerized technologies (e.g. K8S, and Docker)Experience architecting/designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging multi-regional web-servicesStrong organizational, problem-solving and communication skillsDirectly involved in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services, including troubleshooting and performance tuningExperience in high-scale distributed systems and fault tolerant designExperience w/ Agile and Test-driven development methodologiesExperiences with the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deploymentsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, prioritize your work and manage your own timeA passion to learn new software technologiesWage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:California: $195,500.00 - $315,775.00 base salaryIllinois and Colorado: $186,200.00 - $263,000.00 base salaryWashington and New York (including NYC metro area): $186,200.00 - $276,125.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for bonus, equity and
