Seeking a Director of Sales Operations for a design, engineering and manufacturing company focused on low-power wireless telecommunications, payment processing systems, intelligent data management and SaaS technologies.
The Director of Sales Operations will lead the sales operations team, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the sales organization. This role will focus on strategic planning, process optimization, analytics, and team management to support the sales team in achieving its revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the sales leadership team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with company goals.
Process Optimization: Identify, design, and implement sales processes to streamline operations, improve sales productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain sales metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide insights into sales performance and support data-driven decision-making.
Support Sales leader with Board meeting prep and materials.
Sales Enablement: Partner with marketing and training teams to ensure the sales team is equipped with the right tools, resources, and training to succeed. Help drive lead generation activity and ROI on Marketing investments.
CRM Management: Oversee the management and optimization of the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as finance, marketing, and customer success to ensure alignment and support overall business objectives.
Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and forecasting for the sales organization, monitoring expenditures and ROI on sales initiatives.
Pipeline Management: Manage pipeline coverage identifying any gaps giving necessary and actionable input/insights.
Commissions Management: Help with design of commissions plans. Manage, the commission calculations for submission and approvals as well as reporting to participants.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
7+ years of experience in sales operations or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
Understanding of Technology sales models including recurring revenue (SaaS) is desirable
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
Proven track record of improving sales processes and driving performance metrics.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
