Description

The Senior Administrative Coordinator, Dental Hygiene (DH) provides comprehensive administrative support to the program director and department, along with supporting the dental hygiene clinic. This position is responsible for formulating, interpreting, and implementing policies, rules, and regulations, with the ability to recommend updates, additions, and changes as needed. The Senior Administrative Coordinator is tasked with enhancing services, processes, or programs to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the Senior Administrative Coordinator may supervise student workers.

This is a 9-month position, with a contract period from mid-August to mid-May, and year-round benefits.

ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive administrative supportParticipates in the planning and execution of administrative operations.Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.Handles complex confidential issues.Formulates, interprets, and implements policies, rules, and regulations.Monitors compliance with policies and procedures.Recommends guidelines, policies, rules, and regulations.Compiles reports, maintains records and other documents, and coordinates special events.Oversees evaluation of documents submitted for administrator's signature.Liaise with faculty, staff, and other key University personnel to process special requests.Liaise with the Business Office for budget and financial paperwork.Provides support for long-range planning and scheduling activities.Plans and coordinates logistical and administrative support for events, meetings or other special functions and provides on-site support.Prepare adjunct lecturer, graduate teaching assistant, graduate research assistant, and part-time administrative contracts.Prepare report for course offerings, ensuring courses have assigned faculty.Coordinate surveys and emails for course evaluations.Acts as administrator's representative in dealing with third parties.Researches, coordinates and handles special projects.Train and oversee the work of junior staff members or student assistants.Work closely with the DH director on accreditation planning and documentation.Provide support and oversee daily operations of the DH clinic.Assist in technical support of Dentrix Dental Software.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred, plus at least 4-5 year of relevant administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
