Job Summary
MathWorks is seeking an individual with an engineering background in system-level design and simulation of fluid systems to become product manager for Simscape Fluids, used for modeling fluid systems. This includes engineers who have experience in battery/electrical thermal management, refrigeration, HVAC systems, or fluid power in vehicles, aircraft, or buildings.
This role will collaborate with field application engineers, software developers, account managers, and product & industry managers on business development strategy, support for key customers, implementing marketing plans, and defining the long-term technology roadmap.
Responsibilities
As a product manager, your responsibilities will include:
Interacting with end users and thought leaders to identify target applications for fluid simulation.Understanding customer workflows and communicating the value of simulation for fluid systems development.Collaborating with software development team to the define product requirements.Supporting worldwide sales teams with content to drive business.Contributing to long-term strategic plans.Conducting competitive analysis.Developing programs to pursue new market opportunities via the web and other promotion channels.Producing and delivering demos, videos, articles, technical papers, and customer testimonials.Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of Simulink, Simscape, Modelica, Amesim, or equivalent software.Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries.MBA.Product marketing or business development experience with a global software company.Experience in working with sales and driving technical engagements with customers.Strong presentation and writing skills.Proven customer interaction skills.Analytical personality with strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills.Candidates should expect to travel about 10% of the time.
