Simply put, we take care of our advisors, so they can take care of their clients.Job Overview:The Operational Risk Management (ORM) organization is seeking a VP of Operational Risk to help lead the continued maturity and execution of key initiatives across LPL’s Operational Risk program. The VP of Operational Risk will partner closely with stakeholders at all levels to design, implement, and execute processes and capabilities that allow LPL to effectively manage its operational risk exposure. This individual will manage a team of professionals who have responsibility for key components of the Operational Risk program, which aims to effectively identify, assess, mitigate, report, and monitor the firm’s Operational Risk environment.Responsibilities:Work closely with Business Units to drive implementation and ongoing improvement of key Operational Risk programs, including (but not limited to) issues management, risk event identification, risk indicator metrics, and risk and control self-assessments (RCSA).Liaise with other areas of Risk and Compliance to define program requirements including (but not limited to) ad hoc risk assessments, policy and procedure development and enhancements, senior management and Board risk reporting, and other Operational Risk related functions.Partner with leaders across Business Units to provide Operational Risk-related insights and guidance in support of delivering business objectives.Lead a team and create an environment where team members feel informed, valued, and supported.Proactively provide guidance and oversight to enterprise-wide initiatives with ability to synthesize complex problems and present clearly to senior leadership.Develop testing and rating methodologies for controls, policies, and procedures.Requirements:10+ years of experience in the financial services industry with experience at a regulated entity highly preferable.Experience implementing and executing key elements of an ORM or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, such as risk assessments, risk appetite, and issues management.Experience communicating complex materials for an executive-level audience.Ability to engage on initiatives both at the strategic/design level and tactically through day-to-day execution.People management experience.Preferences:Bachelor's degree in a related field.12+ years of experience in the financial services industry with experience at a regulated entity highly preferable.Experience with a Governance, Risk and Control (GRC) system.Working knowledge of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations and how they impact a broker dealer.Demonstrated financial services enterprise risk experience with a strong understanding of risk frameworks and senior-level reporting.Pay Range:

$130,100.00 - $216,800.00.
