Our esteemed organization is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Warehouse Manager to join our Food Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will use their expertise in logistics management, process improvement, and quality control to drive efficiency and productivity in our warehouse operations. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The Warehouse Manager will report directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for managing all aspects of our warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce to ensure high productivity and engagement.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Ensure that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Oversee health and safety standards within the warehouse.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, process improvement, and quality control.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
