(see E InkOur Company)Reporting to the Chem-Mix Supervisor the Chem-Mix Technician IV will maintain all functions associated with E-Ink's Chem-Mix operation in our S. Hadley, Ma. Facility. As part of the S. Hadley team, this high energy individual will lead and support day to day shift production of the Chem-Mix operation. This position is a 12 hour overnight shiftJob Responsibilities:Work with resident process and equipment engineers, product engineers and resident operations personnel to establish optimized processes and material flow for the operation.Monitor and assure outgoing quality meets specifications.Manage non-conformances in accordance with Quality Protocols.Maintain appropriate production records per ISO requirements.Ensure all S.O.P., best practices, and safety protocols are observed and followed as defined by process engineers and/or management for all plant activities.Respond to equipment issues (troubleshooting) and drive solutions to minimize impact to manufacturing.Assist with debug, start-up and qualification of new processes and equipment.Facilitate a flexible hands-on approach to problem solving with all E Ink team members.Participate in meetings and audits related to production, development, and equipment activities - as needed.Drive/Support opportunities for improvement (efficiencies, sampling rates, material movement, labeling/communication, SOPs etc.)Assist with training and associated documentation for all shift members in accordance with ISOEnsure daily verifications and weekly calibrations of test equipment in lab are complete and report any non-conformances or abnormal trends to engineering/management.Analyze data and provide simple data presentations.Qualifications:GED or High School diploma plus a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing environmentStrong relationship and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and functions of the organization to develop solutions to manufacturing challenges.Comfortable working in a fast paced, self-managed environment with aggressive goals.Strong PC skills: solid understanding of the Microsoft Suite and spreadsheet applicationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to make meaningful contributions to resolving complicated technical problems such as those associated with coating defects or coating machine equipment issues.Some familiarity with SPC, SOP's, ISO, FMEA, 6 Sigma and other related manufacturing tools desireExperience in a chemical, coating, or converting manufacturing environments is greatly valued.Benefits:Competitive Total Compensation PackageMedical, Dental and Vision on 1st dayCompany 401K matchPaid Time Off & HolidaysSick Leave PolicyCasual day to day work environmentOur culture is built on value commitments to innovation, quality, results, integrity, community, people, and collaboration that fosters a strong employee engagement, teamwork, safety and wellness.E Ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.E Ink is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, identity, sexual orientation, veteran's status, disability, age, or on any basis prohibited by federal and state law.Our diverse employees, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.
