GIS Technician

Job Type Full-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a GIS Technician to join our Survey/GIS team and support various tasks related to geographic information systems. The ideal candidate will also have entry to intermediate-level CAD experience.RETTEW is an engineering consulting firm that offers more than 600 engineering, environmental, surveying, planning, safety, and related consulting services in a range of markets. As a GIS Technician at RETTEW, you will: - Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data from various sources.- Enter and update GIS data into databases.- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation, including metadata.- Create and update maps using GIS software.- Work with CAD templates to develop CAD-based deliverables.- Perform spatial analysis and generate reports based on GIS data.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.- Entry to intermediate level CAD experience.- Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Perks & Benefits:Our company offers a wide range of perks and benefits, including ESOP as a 100% employee-owned company, flexible schedules, and generous medical, vision, and dental insurance.
