Description
We are seeking a GIS Technician to join our Survey/GIS team and support various tasks related to geographic information systems. The ideal candidate will also have entry to intermediate-level CAD experience.
RETTEW is an engineering consulting firm that offers more than 600 engineering, environmental, surveying, planning, safety, and related consulting services in a range of markets.
As a GIS Technician at RETTEW, you will:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial data from various sources.
- Enter and update GIS data into databases.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation, including metadata.
- Create and update maps using GIS software.
- Work with CAD templates to develop CAD-based deliverables.
- Perform spatial analysis and generate reports based on GIS data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
- Entry to intermediate level CAD experience.
- Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
