Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking qualified candidates interested in Extruder Operator at their VR1 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Shift Supervisor for Extrusion. Applicant must be willing to work any shift.Minimum Requirements:•High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent•One year of experience as an extruder assistant preferred•Ability to accurately read a tape measure•Ability to be self-directed and multitask•Ability to follow directions•Ability to lead and manage the performance of others•Timeliness•Ability to obtain forklift license and operate forklift•Ability to use a computer•Ability to calculate/count•Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check•Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidaysInternal Candidates:•No disciplinary actions beyond a verbal within the past 120 daysOperate Extrusion/Laminating line in order to:Ensure safetyPerform to quality, waste, and production standards and goalsMeet or exceed the customers' (both internal and external) expectationsMeet the highest of quality standardsCommunicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift informationReport production accurately and timely through Prism to include waste, WIP, time codes, raw materials, etc.Ensure the training of assistant on essential job functions.Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operationsManage the duties of an assistant including, but not limited to:Prepare printed rolls for lamination (primary unwind)Prepare back stock rolls for lamination (secondary unwind)Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing (both unwinds)Assist in removing rolls from rewindRemove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of jobKeep box resins stocked and ensure wand is placed in resinClean NIP roll in machine during setup and downtime to prepare for startupPerform daily housekeepingRemove and weigh waste from both unwindsRemove and weigh waste from rewind if necessaryMake waste bales when baler is fullResume containing relevant experience is required for further considerationEOE F/M/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disabled/VetPrintpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
