Position Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis role is responsible in assisting the Accounting and Finance team with planning, forecasting and analyzing for multiple companies, based in Denver, CO, with the expectation of minor travel.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and monitor current and past trends in financial results and key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, inventory, operating metrics and capital expenditures.Assist in the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operational Dashboards and other Modeling tools.Ad-Hoc Reporting and AnalysisQuarterly and Monthly Financial reportingROI calculations on capital expenditures, new product offerings, and new locationsDevelop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiativesAnalyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesSupport the Accounting team during month end closeSupport in the creation and updating of monthly Board of Directors financial reportsSupport Senior Management Team and Department heads with Management Discussion and Analysis, including preparation of Board presentationsAssist in financial due diligence of acquisitionsPrepare presentations for the Management TeamAdhere to all Company Policies and ProceduresAll other duties as assignedQualifications
Proven work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or similar roleExperience using data analytics softwareAbility to learn quickly, problem solve, and remain composed to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a high pace environmentHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and other financial softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build and maintain supportive relationships with team members inside and out of the organizationStrong organizational skills with a high attention to detailSelf-motivated; capable of taking initiative, successfully handling, and prioritizing multiple competing assignments and hitting deadlinesAbility to think critically and look for alternative solutions to problemsA passion for success, a positive and friendly attitude, and a strong work ethicOccasional travel to Washington and other potential locations (up to 15%)Working Environment/Physical Requirements
