Salary: $200,000 - $230,000 per year

Due to continued growth, we have an immediate need for a Trusts & Estates Associate to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department for our WestLA office.

We are currently seeking a Tax Associate to join our Taxation, Trusts & Estates department. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, providing tax advice to our high-net-worth clients on all aspects of estate planning, family partnerships, and business succession planning.
Is your background a match?
- JD from an accredited law school; LL.M. in Taxation is a plus!
- Active member of the California State Bar
- 2+ years of experience in trust administration and estate planning for high-net individuals and families
- Able to draft complex wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
What will you be doing?
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on a broad array of trust and estate matters, including estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related tax issues
- Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective tax strategies for estate planning, family partnerships, and business succession planning
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in tax law and regulations that may impact clients
- Represent clients before tax authorities and in court proceedings, as needed
