Job Description Summary:

In the heart of the nation's capital with additional programs in Virginia, the George Washington University (GW) was created by an Act of Congress in 1821. As one of the largest private employers in the District of Columbia, the University seeks employees who support the teaching, research, and public service mission of the University.This position works under general direction and works closely with GW hiring managers and Human Resources staff to provide end-to-end recruiting and hiring for identified needs. The core responsibilities of this role are to source candidates, prepare and coordinate interviews, prepare hiring documentation and make offers, initiate and analyze routine background checks, and onboard new employees. This position may also participate in various recruiting activities (e.g., job fairs, new hire orientation, phone interviews).This position works closely with Senior Recruiters and Human Resources staff to provide end-to-end recruiting and hiring for full-time and temporary support throughout the university. May interact with Hiring Managers as needed. The core responsibilities of this role are to source and place within the university, work with HRMD and Hiring Managers on temporary and permanent recruiting strategies, prepare, coordinate, and/or execute interviews, prepare hiring documentation and make offers, initiate and analyze routine background checks and reference checks, and onboard new employees. This role may support the recruiting activities as needed.This position will also participate in various recruiting activities (e.g., job fairs, new hire orientation), advise HR Business Partners and hiring managers, and may identify and recommend current trends. This position may represent Talent Acquisition on HRMD committees and/or projects.Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Recruiter savvy skills preferred, including knowledge of where to look and how to leverage different job boards, search engines, and sourcing tools.An eye for detail and strong intuition for culture fit while screening candidates.Desire to solve problems, think creatively, and be flexible.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Experience in agency recruiting or recruiting in the local market is preferred.Experience recruiting in a temporary agency environment preferred.Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter preferred.Position Information
