Closely align and interface with operations teams, trade compliance peers, and other business partners to obtain the necessary technical characteristics and data that will allow all classification work to be done in a timely manner to tie into important product launches. Proper classification will include (when required) the need to apply for the formal CCATS rulings or export licenses from the government agencies, as well as providing information to allow import authorizations for many countries around the globe. In addition, you will be expected to participate and contribute to the many other facets of responsibilities, processes, and procedures which the export compliance department manages across the company.Job Duties include but not limited to:Classify products, spare parts, equipment & tooling, and 3rd party products in accordance with Export Administration Regulations.Maintaining classifications and export licensing logic in enterprise systems.Disseminating classifications to other departments as needed.Conduct export compliance reviews for Apps.Collecting and managing 3rd party product classification information.Collecting and preparing compliance documentation for encryption filings worldwide.Self-classification and semiannual report submission to the US government.Support sanctions compliance reviews as needed.Provide support as needed for global exports.Ability to reach out and understand export requirements in other countries will be necessary. This will require support on an as-needed basis for exports from Japan, Hong Kong, and other countries.Website support: updating websites and designing new websites and web pages as needed.Key Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with some business, international trade, project management and/or engineering, and/or computer coursework.Strong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations in at least three categories including category 5 part 2.Organizing and managing documentation in support of export licenses, classifications, and other compliance activities.Ability to refine and develop processes to gather the information necessary to classify the products against the regulations.Experience in creating & maintaining documentation of Export Compliance controls & processes and record keeping desired.Interest in taking on additional challenging duties as time permits and business growth requires.Ability to communicate and partner with other business groups.Flexibility & adaptability to enthusiastically cross-support other Export Compliance areas.Mac, OS X, and iWork familiarity is a must; Website and webpage designs using HTML is desirable; FileMaker knowledge is a plus.Working knowledge of GTS Licensing, Embargo, and Screening modules is desirable.Creativity and curiosity is a plus plus!Prefer at least 3 - 5 years classification and general export compliance experience.
