If you exemplify our values and want to be part of something big, contact us today.DescriptionThe Global Export & Sanctions Compliance (GESC) team at Apple complies with worldwide laws governing the exports of technology and products. We develop creative and innovative solutions to solve compliance challenges at Apple. As an integral part of the GESC department you will be responsible for a wide array of compliance activities including complying with the Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and foreign government agencies regulations. You will research, and classify technology, hardware, or 3rd party products, and submit classification requests to relevant government agencies, or applications for export licenses of controlled products and technologies. You will also be responsible for maintaining an EAR and ITAR written compliance program which may include developing and executing export compliance awareness trainings, updating policies, processes and procedures, maintaining corporate records, auditing, and the like. In addition, you will be expected to participate and contribute to the many other facets of responsibilities which the global export and sanctions compliance team manages across the company. Come join us for an opportunity to work with people that think different.Minimum Qualifications10+ years of export compliance experienceStrong working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (categories 5, 6, 7 and 9), and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (USML categories IV, and XV)Experience with Deemed Export/Reexport reviews, and submission of licenses under EAR and ITARExperience with both technology and hardware product, part and component classificationsExcellent project management and documentation skillsBachelor's degree in engineering, law, international business, international trade, or a related degree or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working in or proven ability to learn quickly and support new areas of regulation and technologyStrong work ethic and collaboration skills including with an international teamAbility to lead, take action and provide direction in the face of ambiguity and to get results in diverse, fast-paced environmentsStrong analytical capability with attention to detail and ability to clearly organize and inform through excellent written and verbal communicationsAbility to build relationships and partner at all levels of the organizationFamiliarity with international regulations and experience with investigating and researching companies and individuals for sanctions risksMac, MacOS and iOS proficiencyMaster's degree in engineering, law, international business, international trade, or a related degree or equivalent work experienceAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,200 and $255,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
