I'm partnered with the CFO of a manufacturer in the northern suburbs that is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to help lead their accounting and finance operations. My client is looking for a true change agent as they are entering into a new phase to support their growth!
As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will oversee the Accounting team through month-end close and have ownership of the financial reporting to the Controller and CFO of the group. They will empower you to make strategic decisions to amend and implement Accounting processes and procedures as you see fit to put the company in the best possible financial position. The Senior Accounting Manager will also partner with all departments on effective costing strategies to ensure profitability in production that will aid in the company achieving their ambitious growth goals!
Job Description
Planning and coordinating all accounting operational functions.Assessing current accounting operations and evaluating internal control systems.Implementing, documenting, and maintaining adequate and effective accounting processes and internal controls to improve the close and reporting cycles.Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurateaccounting of consolidated business results.Coordinating and supporting the activities of the outside CPA firm(s), including the annual financial and benefit audits and tax returns.Overseeing the processes and processing of day-to-day A/R and A/P functions.Coordinate and participate in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts,incorporating historical results and future assumptions.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required. MBA a plus.C.P.A. and/or C.M.A designations are preferred, but not required.5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.1+ years of management experience2+ years in a Accounting Manager level role in a manufacturing environmentStrong experience in small and mid-sized businesses strongly preferred.Experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is preferred, but not required.What's on Offer
