Job DetailsJob LocationDutton Campus - Santa Rosa, CAPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Clinical Team Lead - PsychiatryREPORTS TO (TITLE): Director of Integrated Behavioral ServicesSALARY RANGE: $270,880 - $371,624 DOEJob Summary: The Psychiatry Lead works closely with the Mental Health Manager, CMO and lateral partners to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the Psychiatry team. In addition to staff psychiatry duties, areas of responsibility include supporting the CMO to provide programmatic oversight of the psychiatric provider team and system improvement at all sites related to co-management, transfer of care, scope of practice and enhancement of primary care mental health competencies. The Psychiatry Lead works collaboratively with the CMO, the Director of Mental Health, Director of Behavioral Health, Medical Directors, and operations to ensure optimization of integrated psychiatric services within each primary care medical facility. The duties also may include a liaison role with Santa Rosa Family Medicine residency and with the SRCH Nurse Practitioner Residency Program that includes ensuring sufficient psychiatry precepting of Advanced Practice Clinicians in clinics which may be delegated to primary care clinicians with additional primary care psychiatry training.Specific Tasks/Duties Include: Supervise psychiatrists in their punctuality, attendance at office meetings, timeliness of documentation and panel and in basket management according to SRCH and site standards.Ensure that each clinician has a high-quality annual review in collaboration with medical director.Manage performance of direct reports with regular meetings: Meet with direct reports no less than 30 minutes quarterly with one of the meetings being the one-hour annual performance evaluation. Use data to assess and address burden of work e.g., Panel data, Signal, EPIC and OCHIN reports.Use data to assess and manage performance, including visit targets, cycle times, efficiency, timeliness of documentation and panel and in basket management according to SRCH and site standards.Provide emotional support to providers during regular meetings and on an ad hoc basis.Support CMO in the recruitment of psychiatry team members and assist with onboarding of new psychiatrists and psychiatric NPs.Mentor new cliniciansParticipate in relevant meetings, committees and workgroups.Provide clinical oversight to the Associate Program Director of the Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ResidencyImprove and maintain access to psychiatry care and information for patients, community groups, and clinic staff.Facilitate the building of highly functioning psychiatry team. Organize and lead psychiatry team meetings.Peer review to ensure high quality, adherence to standards.Work with individual clinicians when there are growth areas.Participate in clinic, quality, and leadership meetings as needed. Provides clinical consultation in the development of nurses in psychiatry.Collaborate with Medical directors and PharmD staff to continuously improve primary care psychiatry competency and to maximize effective, evidence-based prescribing practices and behavioral health interventions among primary care staff.Support CMO and MH Manager in responding to variances and sentinel events related to psychiatric services in collaboration with site leadership and the Risk Management Committee. Represent SRCH to external partners such as Sonoma County Behavioral Health.
