Mainframe Developer
for a
Hybrid
On-Site (On-Site every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
opportunity in Columbia, SC. The manager is looking for an Application Developer that is willing to learn Mainframe (COBOL, APS, DB2, IMS).
Required Qualifications of the Mainframe Developer:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related field is Highly Desired4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experienceMust have COBOL and DB2 experienceDemonstrated ability to analyze systems and develop specifications based on business needWill also consider candidates who have knowledge/proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Jenkins, GIT, Vue, Python, VSCode, MongoDB, who would like to utilize these skills and learn mainframe technologiesExperience in an enterprise environment is highly desiredResponsibilities of the Mainframe Developer:
Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and designAnalyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processesPrepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be writtenDesign, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programsFormulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systemsCompensation / Benefits:Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means competitive compensation, access to health, dental, disability, and life coverage, 401K + match.
