We are seeking an
Application Developer
for a long-term contract assignment with our client, one of the largest IT Employers in SC! In this role, you will work with Cobol, CICS and DB2 on a large team of developers in a matrixed environment.* This is a W2 long term direct hire role that requires US Citizen work status. No C2C or 3rd party candidates, please.**This is a hybrid position in Columbia, SC. Candidates must be local to Columbia SC or within a comfortable commuting distance and be willing to work onsite three days a week for this role.What you will do in this role:Coding, testing and implementing mainframe programs written in Cobol, CICS and DB2.Responsible for analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications tasks and projects.Devise feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems through the use of computer resources.Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.Review detailed specifications and recommend modifications.Design, code, test and debug complex application programs.Skills/Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree, or additional job related work experience.6+ years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.COBOL, CICS and DB2 experience required.Nice to Have: IMS and team lead experienceCore Technology Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers a variety of employment opportunities and benefits.
