As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in all aspects of the accounting function, including financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance. How You'll Make and Impact:
Monthly Close Process, including:Manage and coordinate the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and anomalies, and communicate findings to senior management.Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.Responsible for Financial Reporting, including:Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with company deadlines.Assist in the preparation of management reporting packages and presentations for executive leadership.Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-makingManage Technical Accounting practices, including:Assist in the research and interpretation of complex accounting standards (GAAP) relevant to the food and beverage industry, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and lease accounting.Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on accounting treatment for various transactions and business initiatives.Assess and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Oversee Process Improvements necessary for scalable operations, including:Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency and accuracy.Implement internal controls and procedures to mitigate risks and strengthen the financial control environment.Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards and industry trends to proactively address potential impacts on the organization.Manage, train and mentor the accounts payable team, fostering professional development and high performance.What You'll Bring to the Team
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.Thorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, with experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis.Prior manufacturing experience preferred, including relevant costing methods and inventory valuationStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), with advanced Excel skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
